The Brock’s Pine Project is a proposed development in St Leonards, Dorset, aiming to create a world-class surf and leisure destination alongside 14 hectares SANG. On the western side of Brocks Pine WHW has respond to Dorset CC call for site and are looking to build a logistics hub and alternative fuel station.
The project encompasses an inland surf lagoon, a new visitor centre, and extensive natural green spaces designed to protect and preserve the nearby Dorset Heaths.
In February 2024, the Planning Inspectorate granted planning permission for the development.
W. H. White Ltd remains committed to the project and is actively seeking investors and operators to bring the surf park to fruition. The company is also exploring partnerships with surf lagoon technology providers to advance the development.
The Brock’s Pine Project has garnered support from organisations like Surfing England, recognising its potential to bolster Dorset’s reputation as a premier surf destination. Additionally, local charities such as The Wave Project and the BOWRA Foundation have celebrated the project’s approval, acknowledging its potential benefits for community well-being and mental health through surf therapy programs.
