WHW continues to look for new opportunities for development and have secured interest in 67ha of land adjoining the A31 in St Leonards. WHW is promoting the land through the Local Plan process for a mixed-use development to include new employment and residential uses as well as an opportunity to bring forward the parcel to the east of Brocks Pine as a surf lagoon and an extension to Avon Heath Country Park.
To explore development this opportunity further from the preliminary framework plan, WHW seeks to further develop capacity studies and preliminary development strategies for the residential and employment land principally to the west of Brocks Pine. An initial landscape strategy is also proposed to demonstrate how the proposed development will be effectively integrated into the site and coordinates with the leisure provision to the east of Brocks Pine. WHW have carried out initial capacity testing and are progressing the site promotion. Pre-application discussions are taking place with the Local Planning Authority and Members.
